Preston North End Community and Education Trust
Football Sessions
Preston North End Community and Education Trust provide access to free football sessions through the Premier League Kicks Programme.
The sessions provide young people with the opportunity to take part in weekly football sessions, using football as a form of escapism from daily challenges in a safe and welcoming environment.
Champions
Champions is an innovative intervention programme supporting young people, aged 10-25 with experience of, or at risk of offending behaviours.
The programme is delivered by nine football club community organisations (CCOs) across Lancashire including our team here at Preston North End Community and Education Trust.
Adopting a trauma informed approach, mentors give their time with genuine interest to create a trusted relationship and innovative interventions which promote personal development, wellbeing gains and consequently reducing their experience of offending and antisocial behaviours.
The programme is confidential, non-judgemental and our team don't work for the police and aren't involved in criminal proceedings.
Participation is voluntary, subject to assessment of suitability and relies on a positive approach from the mentor, the young person and others involved in their support network.
The PNE Forces programme
The PNE Forces programme is an initiative run by Preston North End Community and Education Trust which is open to anyone who currently or has previously served in the Armed Forces.
The initiative includes football and social sessions designed to allow forces members of both past and present a way to keep active while forming new relationships with like-minded people, all the while benefiting their mental and physical health.
Every Tuesday night from 8pm until 9pm at West View Leisure Centre, Consultation Room, Ribbleton, Preston (PR1 5EP), is the free football hour for forces members to get their foot on the ball. Along with this comes the chance to represent the Trust at regional and national tournaments.
As well as the football sessions, at the same location the team offers Veterans 91AV原创 Sessions, on Tuesday evenings from 7pm to 8pm.
Preston North End signed the Armed Forces Covenant in October 2019, committing to supporting past and present members of the military and their families.
