The Blue Flamingo Café and Community Hub is a warm, inclusive space designed to bring people together, whether you're meeting new faces or reconnecting with old friends.
Sessions run in three locations across Preston and are available in Ashton, Fulwood, and Penwortham, offering a dementia-friendly environment where everyone is welcome to enjoy a chat and a brew.
Ashton Hub - Tuesdays, 1pm to 3pm
Join Blue Flamingo at St Michael's Church Hall on Egerton Road in Ashton-on-Ribble for a welcoming, dementia-friendly session every Tuesday afternoon.
Each week offers something unique, from lively sing-alongs with Annie to a quiet session on the second Tuesday, drumming and singing with Jon on the third, and dedicated carer support on the fourth Tuesday.
Whether you're looking to connect, relax, or find support, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
What to Expect at a Blue Flamingo Café Session

Support for carers
On the fourth Tuesday of each month, the Ashton Hub at St Michael & All Angels hosts a dedicated Carer Support Circle session.
These gatherings offer carers a valuable opportunity to share experiences, exchange advice, and connect with others in similar roles.
Each session also features guest contributions from professionals across community, social, and healthcare services, providing practical information and tailored support to help carers navigate the challenges of looking after loved ones.
Other Community Hubs
Fulwood Hub - 2nd and 4th Thursday of the Month, 2:30pm to 2pm
Located at Our Lady's and St Edward's Parish Centre on Marlborough Drive, the Fulwood session offers a welcoming space for connection and support.
Held on the fourth Thursday of each month, this dementia-friendly gathering invites everyone to drop in, no booking needed.
Whether you're looking for a friendly chat, creative activities, or simply a relaxing afternoon, Fulwood provides a warm and inclusive environment for all.
Penwortham Hub - Wednesdays, 12:30pm to 2pm
Held at St Teresa's Social Centre on Queensway Drive, our Penwortham sessions offer a consistent rhythm of music and connection every Wednesday afternoon.
Each week features a sing-along session, with Annie leading on the first Wednesday, and Jon bringing his musical energy on the second, third, and fourth Wednesdays.
Whether you're joining for the joy of singing or the comfort of community, Penwortham provides a friendly, dementia-aware space for all.
